NYC is where it began ... and what a time it was.
Spring of 2000 I graduated from MICA with a bachelor in graphic design. Before graduating I had already had lined up my first job at the highly revered design and technology company Firstborn Multimedia.
While at Firstborn, I was involved in projects such as the website development for the pop star icon Madonna. This was a time when the internet was in its infancy and the web industry itself had just begun to take shape.
This was also a time when the technology Flash was exploding. Its proliferation and widespread adoption was unprecedented and could only be described as a first-of-kind game changer for the industry.
Flash brought way a creative movement. It merged animation, sound, motion graphics, and user interface in an experience delivered across the world.
The creative freedom that Flash allowed captured me. The first 10 years of my career I spent entrenched in it.
This also was the era of the internet bubble. It was an extraordinary time. The internet was unknown, nobody knew where it was going, what it would become, or how it would be used.
Years following, I worked at a number of other design and technology companies located in Baltimore and New York City.
In New York City I worked at Nethod Euro (RSCG World Wide) and Sony Music. Then following, I worked in Baltimore, at Alexander and Tom, G1440, and Effective-e.
